Ash Gourd Juice made with ash gourd, spinach and pineapple. A great detoxifying green juice with many health benefits.

Vibrant spinach, cooling ash gourd and sweet pineapple combine to make a juice packed with nutrients.

No juicer? Not to worry, we can make the juice in a blender too. Use a cheese cloth or tea strainer to strain the juice.

What is Ash Gourd?

Ash Gourd is a vine grown vegetable which is native to South East Asia. The many names of Ash Gourd are – Winter Melon, Wax Gourd, Chinese Water Melon, White Pumpkin and White Gourd.

According to Sadhguru, drinking Ash Gourd juice also cools our body, will have increased energy and enhances your intellectual capabilities.

Ingredients needed for Ash Gourd Green Juice

Spinach

Step by Step Method

If using a juicer –

Add all the ingredients one at a time and juice it. Discard the pulp.

If using a blender –

Add pineapple, ash gourd, spinach, ginger and some water to a blender.

Blend the mixture until it is pureed completely.

Use a muslin cloth or a strainer and strain the juice.

Add a squeeze of lime juice and Ii you like it sweeter, add some honey to it. I didn’t add any honey.

For the maximum health benefits, consume the ash gourd juice with in 30 minutes.

Equipment

  • blender or juicer

Ingredients

  • 2 heaping cups ash gourd pieces
  • 1 cup pineapple, chopped
  • 1 cup tightly packed Spinach
  • 1 teaspoon chopped ginger
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice
  • honey to taste optional
  • ¼ cup water skip if making it in a juicer

Instructions

If using a juicer –

  • Add all the ingredients one at a time and juice it. Discard the pulp.

If using a blender –

  • Add pineapple, ash gourd, spinach, ginger and some water to a blender.
  • Blend the mixture until it is pureed completely.
  • Use a muslin cloth or a strainer and strain the juice. Add a squeeze of lime juice.
  • If you like it sweeter, add some honey to it.
  • For the maximum health benefits, consume the ash gourd juice with in 30 minutes of making it.

Notes

Ash Gourd Juice just like any other juice needs to be consumed immediately.
Another important thing to keep in mind while drinking this juice is don’t gobble at one stretch, takes sips of it.

    Wil raw spinach give more benifits or boiled spinach?
