A simple stir fry made with brussel sprouts with a Indian style tempering, called tadka.

Ingredients
- 15 brussel sprouts
- 1 green chili, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
- ½ teaspoon chana dal
- ½ teaspoon coriander powder
- coriander leaves for garnish
- ⅛ teaspoon sugar
- 2 teaspoons oil
- salt to taste
- lemon juice to taste
Instructions
- Cut the brussels sprout to half.
- Now take a pan add the oil. When it gets hot add the mustard seeds and let them pop. Now add the chana dal and cumin seeds. Fry for few second
- Add green chili and the garlic and saute for 30 seconds. Now add the brussell sprouts and the salt. Mix well. Sprinkle some water.
- Close the lid and cook till the vegetable gets soft. Its take about 10 to 15 minutes. While cooking stir once in a while and sprinkle with some more water if needed.
- Once the brussel sprouts are soft and have a very light brown color on them turn of the heat. Add some lemon juice, sugar and fresh coriander leaves. Mix and its all ready to be served.
