Ingredients for Celery Juice?

This Celery Juice requires just three ingredients. While you can make this juice with just celery, I like to add green apple and orange for the sweet, tart flavor. If you are trying to incorporate celery in your diet but not a fan of it, then you should try this juice.

  • Celery: 5 to 6 large celery stalks
  • Green Apple : one small green apple for its sweet tart flavor
  • Orange – I used two mandarin oranges for its sweet citrus taste

How do you make Celery Juice in a Blender?

Wash the celery properly to remove any dirt. Wash apple and oranges. Roughly chop the celery and apple, peel the orange and open the wedges.

To a blender ( I used Vitamix) add ¼th cup water, chopped celery, apple, orange and two ice cubes. Blend until smooth.

You can use a cheese cloth or a strainer to filter the juice.

Place a large cheese cloth over your bowl and slowly pour the juice on to the cheese cloth. Gather the sides of the cheese cloth and squeeze out the juice as much as possible. Discard the pulp.

If using a strainer, place the strainer under a large bowl. Slowly pour the pureed mixture into fine mesh strainer. Using a back of a spoon push the pulp against the sieve to extract all the juice.

Tips for best tasting Celery Juice:

The addition of apple and orange gives a sweet and tart flavor, which makes celery juice more palatable.

Add few ice cubes while blending, I feel a slightly cold Celery Juice tastes so much better than a room temperature juice.

Frequently Asked Questions:

What can I do with the celery juice pulp?

I add it to my compost.

Do I have to use Organic celery?

It is recommend to use organic when consuming raw food (especially for green leafy vegetables). For this juice I used regular vegetables… we just need to make sure we thoroughly wash them before using.

How long can I store this celery juice?

It is best to consume the juice immediately as the live enzymes in these vegetables will start to break down. If it is not possible to drink right away, cover it with a plastic wrap, store it in the refrigerator and consume with in 24 hours.
