Indo Chinese Cuisine is very popular in India, and often enjoyed as street food and in restaurants. Some of the favorite Indo-Chinese dishes are Dumplings, Gobi Manchurian, Soya Manchurian, Fries Manchurian, Fried Rice and Noodles.
These chili dumplings are similar to Gobi Manchurian and chili paneer, except that no frying is involved and no cornstarch is used.

These Chili dumplings can an be enjoyed both as an appetizer and as a main course.
If serving as an appetizer pair it with Sweet Corn Vegetable Soup, Pav Bhaji Noodles, and yummy No Bake Tres Leches Cake.
How to make Chili Dumplings
Cooking the Dumplings:
You can use your favorite store bought dumplings and cook them according to the package instructions. I used my favorite Veggie dumplings from Trader Joe’s- Thai Vegetable Gyoza.
To cook the dumplings – heat a large pan and add 1 teaspoon of oil and spread it evenly. Once the pan is hot, place 10 dumplings and cook for 2-3 minutes undisturbed. Now add half cup ( or little more) water, close the lid and cook in medium flame till all the water is evaporated. Let rest for 5 minutes.
Chili Sauce:
In a small bowl add 2 tablespoons soy sauce, 2 teaspoons vinegar, 2 teaspoons sriracha, 2 tablespoons tomato ketchup, 2 tablespoons maggi sweet and spicy chili sauce, ¼ teaspoon sugar and 2 tablespoons water.
Taste the sauce and adjust the ingredients according to your liking.
Mix it and set a side.
Method:
Heat a wok and add 2 teaspoons sesame oil and 2 teaspoons avocado oil. Once the oil gets hot add 1 tablespoon minced garlic, 1 tablespoon chopped ginger, 1 finely chopped green chili, and white part of the green onion. Saute for a minute.
Add the cubed onion and bell pepper and saute on high flame for 4-5 minutes.
They should be slightly softened but still crunchy.
Reduce the heat to low and add the chili sauce and cook for 30-45 seconds.
Add the cooked dumplings and gently mix to coat it with the sauce, then cook for 45 seconds.
Finally garnish with cilantro and green onion and enjoy them warm.
