Recently our local India temple performed Balaji Brahmotsava as per Vaikhanasa Aagama Shaastra by Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthana (TTD) priest. One of our good friends took up the responsibility of cooking dinner on the first day of the three day celebration. Lot of our friends pinned in the process from cutting the vegetables to cooking , serving and cleaning up! I was also a small part of this whole process. It was an amazing experience cooking in the Temple kitchen, and serving 500 + devotees.
The menu for the maha prasada included – Cabbage Pakoda, Bisi bele bath, Avial, Moong dal Kosumbari, Raita and Payasam. We were very satisfied the way all the recipes came out. Probably there is something about the temple environment that makes it special. Had a very positive feed back from the devotees.
Had an amazing and satisfying day with the blessing of the Lord Venkateshwara! Thanks to our beloved friends “G & A” in making this happen. Sharing some pictures of the maha prasada.
