Dry fruit, Seeds and Nuts Laddu (no sugar, no jaggery)

These dry fruit, seeds and nuts ladoo are healthy, raw and no cook ladoo. They are so easy to make and are sweetened naturally with dates and raisins.

Delicious and nutritious bite size snack to satisfy your sweet tooth. Takes less than 10 minutes to make and are Vegan too!

Whether you call them healthy laddu, energy bites or protein bites these little balls are full of protein and a perfect treat to enjoy for your evening hunger pangs.

This dry fruit, seeds and nutsladdu is super versatile and you can add or substitute any ingredients available in your pantry. This is a no sugar or jaggery recipe.

I love making no bake energy bites and this is one of my favorite combination with nuts, seeds, dates and raisins.

This recipe was inspired by the holistic nutritionist Sridevi Jasti Garu from Vibrant Living Foods.

Ingredients needed to make Dry Fruits Laddu-

cashew, sunflower seeds, pista, chia seeds, almonds, raisins and dates in small tray

How to make this no bake energy bites ( with step by step pics)-

1- In a food processor or a blender add the cashew, almonds and pistachio.

2- Pulse it few time so the nuts break up. Do not make fine powder, keep few big chunks for a nice crunch in the laddu. Reserve 2 tbsps of the crushed nuts in a plate to coat them at the end.

3- Add in the chia seeds, raisins and soft dates.

4 -Pulse them few times till all the dates break up and everything is well combined. If you feel the mixture is little dry and cannot form a laddu, add 1 to 2 tsps of water at a time and pulse it again. That should work.

5 & 6- Take small portion of the mixture, and form a laddu. Coat the laddu with the reserved crushed nuts and enjoy these healthy guilt free laddu.

You should get about 12 laddu with this measurement.

Store them in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks and up to 3 months in the freezer.

What if the mixture is too dry?

You can add 1 to 2 tsps of water at a time and pulse it again till you can form a laddu. Alternatively you can also add some honey.

How long can I store these laddu?

These stay fresh upto 2 weeks in the refregirator in an air tight conatiner.

Can I freeze them?

Yes! freeze them for upto 3 months. thaw them overnight in the refrigerator

Can I skip the raisins?

Yes! you can skip the raisins, just add few more dates.

What other nuts can be used?

Walnuts and peanuts can also be used.

Equipment

Ingredients

  • ⅓ cup almonds
  • ⅓ cup cashew
  • ¼ cup pistachio
  • ¼ cup sunflower seeds
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 2 tbsp raisins
  • 12 to 14 soft dates ( adjust to taste) add more if you like it much sweeter

  • Add in the chia seeds, raisins and soft dates.

Notes

  1. The amount of dates, truly depends on how sweet the dates you are using are.
  2. If the dates are not soft, soak them in hot water for few minutes to soften.
  3. Raisins can be skipped in the recipes, just add few more dates.
  4. You can use nuts of your choice. 
  5. If the mixture is dry add 1 to2 tsps of water at time and pulse it again till you can form a laddu. You don’t prefer water, you can add ghee ( for non vegan laddu).
