Quick and easy after school snacks which will be enjoyed by hungry kids. With little planning you can serve these tasty and healthy snacks that will keep the kids happy and satisfied.
With little planning most of these recipe can be made in just few minutes. Few ingredients can be prepped previous night and some left overs like soup can be served as a snack.
You can make a batch of cookies or sweet bread in the weekend. These make for a great after school snack with a cup of milk.

Kids After School Snack Ideas
1 – Strawberry, milk and a piece of home made brownie.
2 – Nachos, Guacamole and Chocolate Chip Granola Minis ( got these from Costco)
3 – Bread Pizza
To make the bread pizza add some marinara sauce to the bread, add onion, bell pepper and pickled jalapeno (optional). Top it with grated cheese and toast till the cheese melts. Finally add some Italian seasoning and chili flakes.
4 – Vegetable Soup with Pinto Beans and a toast rubbed with butter, garlic and herbs. You can serve the left over soup from previous night. Kids will love it with croutons or some kind of bread.
5 – Trail Mix Crackers ( from Trader Joe’s), Grapes and Roasted Cashew
6 – Mango Lassi (mango smoothie). Made with nuts, dates and yogurt this smoothie will surely be loved by kids. Use frozen mango in off season.
7 – Guacamole Toast on a Sour dough bread.
8 – A delicious 7 layer dip with black beans is made with the classic Mexican Flavors and served with tortilla chips. Make a batch and enjoy for 2-3 days.
9 – Zucchini Bread and Strawberry
10 – Pan fried sweet potatoes seasoned with red chili powder, garlic powder and salt. Add the seasoning after the potato is completely cooked. Enjoy with ketchup and juice. This juice is made with apple, peach and orange. Sweet potato cooks very fast, so the whole thing will takes less than 15 minutes.
11- Spicy Chips, Mango and Cashew. I seasoned the plain potato chips with very little oil, chili powder, garlic powder, Italian seasoning and a pinch of brown sugar. Tossed it and warmed it up for less than a minute in the toaster oven.
12 – Store bought naan is spread with tomato sauce and topped with cheese. Bake till the cheese melts. You can also add any of your favorite topping. Can also be made on the stove top.
13 – These Vegan Cookies are filling and made with whole some ingredients. Make a batch and enjoy it all week.
14 – Toasted bread is topped with peanut butter, sliced strawberry and lightly drizzled with maple syrup.
15 – Toasted sour dough bread is spread with cream cheese and topped with avocado pieces and Trader Joes everything but bagel seasoning.
16 – Pickled Jalapeno Grilled Cheese and Grapes
To make the Grilled Cheese, add some grated mozzarella on a bread slices, top it with pickled jalapeno and more cheese. Butter the top and cook on both sides till golden brown.
17 – Garlic Bread – To softened butter add garlic powder, salt, Italian seasoning and black pepper. Mix it and spread it on the bread. Top it with grated cheese (optional) and toast it till the bread becomes crispy form the bottom.
18 – Almond Flour Muffin & Strawberry
19 – Fruit & Cheese Platter – apple, strawberry, cheese and nuts.
20 – Potato Sandwich, cheese and fruit
