Diwali is one of the most significant festivals celebrated in India. It is the festival of lights where people celebrate the victory of good over evil.
Its a five day celebration which includes praying Goddess Lakshmi, visiting family and friends, lighting diya (lamps) and fire works and enjoying good food. This year Diwali is celebrated on Sunday, Nov 12, 2023.
Food plays a major part through out the celebrations. Sweets and savory snacks are shared between friends and family.
