Sabzi or poriyal is a Indian style stir fry made with vegetables. In the South they are made with green chili and coconut. In North India it is spiced with red chili powder and garam masala.

These simple Indian style stir fried veggies are my favorite way of enjoying vegetables. No gravy or sauces….. just simple ingredients where we can actually taste the veggies.

Some of our favorite sabzis are – Zucchini Sabzi, Baked Kareal Fry , Jackfruit Fry, and Frozen Mixed Veggie Stir Fry

I always have a pack of frozen French cut beans at home. Pre cut frozen veggies definitely come in handy, when you are short of time. I serve this sabzi with rice and dal/rasam for a simple weeknight dinner.
