Ganesh Chaturthi also called as Vinayaka Chavithi is a Hindu Festival celebrated to honor Lord Ganesha’s birthday, the god of Prosperity and Wisdom.

This year Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated on August 31, 2022.

Indians all cross India and globally celebrate Lord Ganesha who is believed to remove obstacles and shower blessings on us.

Just like any festival, food plays an important part in the celebration and Ganapati Bappa was extremely fond of food. His all time favorite food is Modak ( a steamed sweet made with rice flour, coconut and jaggery).

Sharing my collection of Indian sweets, snacks, sundal and rice dishes which can be made for Vinyaka Chavithi.

Many do not use onion and garlic for festivals. If any of the recipes I share have onion and garlic you can just omit and proceed with the recipe.
