Many of you enjoyed the Indian Snack Cuterie Board I shared recently. With holiday season around the corner, I wanted to share how to build the Indian Style Dessert Board.

Its a fun way of displaying all the yummy treats you are going to serve. Involve the kids in the house, they will enjoy putting this dessert board together.

What is Dessert Board?

Dessert Board is basically a board arranged with sweets, fruits, nuts and other treats. You can make few at home and buy some from the store. Depending on the occasion you can serve what works for you and your guests.

You can serve the dessert like payasam, kheer and halwa in mini cups, serve fruits which are in season, add some flowers or roses in the board to make it colorful.

WHAT TO SERVE IN INDIAN DESSERT BOARD?

There are no rules to what can be served on this board. You can keep it super simple or elaborate as you wish.

I served Sweets, Nuts, Fruit & Chocolate

Sweets

  • Rice Kheer in mini individual serving cups
  • Mini Bundt Cakes
  • Almond Katli

Fruits

  • Strawberry
  • Peach
  • Grapes

Store Bought Treats

  • Shelled Pistachio
  • Ferro Rocher
  • Chocolate covered Almonds

I also made Stuffed Dates for this dessert board.

PREPPING & TIPS:

Many of the Indian desserts can be made 1-2 days in advance. Make and them and keep them refrigerated if needed.

Fruit compliments the desserts very well. Serve few fruits and pick few which are in season.

Assorted Nuts and Dry Fruits can also be added to the dessert board.

Mini individual serving cups can be bought from party city and dollar store.

Serve this dessert board on a wooden cutting board, wooden board or any serving tray you have. Use can use a small or big board depending on the head count.

Assembly

First arrange your main desserts in different parts of the board. Then add different fruits, add the fruits in way that the colors compliment with the desserts. Fill in the gaps with your favorite nuts, chocolate, cake, cookies and more. Add some flowers or roses to make it look pretty.
