Oats Peanut Laddoo | Indian Oats Recipes

Oats Peanut laddoo:
 
Makes about 15 medium laddoo

Ingredients:
  • Instant Oats – 1 cup
  • Peanuts- 1 cup
  • Grated jaggery – ¾ th cup
  • Ghee / Clarified Butter- 1 tbsp (melted)
Procedure:
 
In a wide skillet add the oats and dry roast them in low to medium heat until light brown. Set a side.
 
In the same skillet add the peanuts and dry roast them till light brown. Cool completely and remove the husk.
 
Transfer the oats and peanuts to a blender and make a fine powder.
 
Add the grated jaggery to the oats peanut mixture and grind again.
 
Transfer the mixture into a large bowl. Add the melted ghee and mix well.
 
Take small amount of the mixture and try forming a ball/laddoo.
 
Store in a  air tight container. Keeps well for up to ten days.

    Hi Madhu, can we use white or brown sugar instead of jaggery?

      You can, add little more ghee if needed to bind.

      Very nice recipe. What can I use instead of peanuts ? Almond or cashew or Amy other nut? Also should I roast other nut for ladoo?

        Hi Payal,
        You Can use either cashew or almonds or a combination of both in the recipe. Yes, please toast the nuts and cool them before grinding with the oats and jaggery.
