Pan fried potato fries, is a healthy take on french fries. Sliced potatoes are pan fried with some salt and spices. Makes for a tasty evening snack for kids and adults.
Pan Fried Potatoes:
Medium sized potatoes – 3 ( peeled, sliced to long wedges)
½ tsp red chili powder ( I used Kashmiri chili powder, which is mild)
½ tsp garlic powder
salt to taste
1 tbsp oil
Add oil in a non stick pan. When the oil gets hot, add the sliced potato and coat them in oil.
Turn the heat to medium and cook till the potato, mixing often.
It takes about fifteen to twenty minutes for the potato to cook. When done the potato should be little crispy on the edges.
Now add salt, red chili powder, garlic powder and fry for two to three minutes. Check for the seasoning and adjust accordingly.
Serve immediately with some tomato ketchup!
Tastes best when served hot.
