Simple Mother’s Day Dessert- Thin Vermicelli Kheer | Thin Semiya Payasam | Indian Sweets

Thin Vermicelli Kheer Recipe:
 
Ingredients:
  • Thin Vermicelli/Semiya – ¾thcup
  • Sugar – ¾th cup
  • Milk- 6 cups ( adjust acc to how much milk you like)
  • Cardamom- 3 pods crushed
  • Some slivered almonds and raisins
  • Ghee – 2 tsp

Procedure:

In a pan add a tsp of ghee and fry the vermicelli till light brown. Remove.

In the same pan add one tsp of ghee add fry the cashew and almonds till light brown. Remove.

Put 6 cups of milk in a heavy bottomed vessel and bring it to boil. Add the vermicelli and  cook for barely five minutes.

Now add the sugar and simmer for few more minutes.

Finally add the cardamom powder, ghee and fried nuts. Turn off the heat.

Vermicelli Kheer is ready to be served.
