Sprouted green Moong dal chat is a healthy take on the popular street chats from India. Chat is very popular savory street food from India. Making the green moong dal sprouts-
To make the moong beans sprouts, wash the beans and soak over night. Next day drain all the water, transfer the dal to a container and close with a lid. Keep the dal in a dark place. after a day open the lid and if the dal looks dry, sprinkle some water and place it back for the dal to sprout. In a day you should have the sprouts. If you prefer long sprouts, leave it for another half day.

- Green moong dal sprouts- 1 cup
- chopped onion- ¼ cup
- grated carrot- 2 tbsp
- chopped tomato- ⅓ cup
- chopped coriander- 2 tbsp
- chopped green mango (or green apple) - 2tbsp
- masala peanuts- 2 tbsp
- coriander chutney- 1 tsp
- tamarind date chutney- ½ tsp
- chat masala- ¼ tsp
- lemon juice- 2 tsp
- salt to taste
- In a bowl add the sprouts, followed by all the other ingredients. Gently mix. Taste for seasoning and serve topped with some crunchy peanuts.
