Ingredients

  • 1 cup nutella
  • 1 large egg
  • ¾ cup all purpose flour see notes

Instructions

  • Pre heat the oven to 350 F or 180 C. Place the rack in the middle of the oven, which is ideal for baking cookies.
  • In to a bowl add 1 large egg, a cup of nutella and ¾ cup all purpose flour.
  • Using a spoon or a spatula mix all these ingredients. After you mix check, for the consistency of the dough. This is the key to making chewy cookies. When you hold a portion of the dough, it should not stick to your hands. The dough should not be dry, nor super wet. When you take the dough you can easily make a ball between your palms.
  • If you feel the dough is dry add a teaspoon of nutella at a time to get the right texture. But if the dough is wet add about ½ tsp of flour at a time to fix it.
  • Once you get the right consistency of the dough, take about 2 tbps of the dough and make a ball and place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Gently press the ball to flatten a little, do not press too much.
  • Bake the cookies for 9-11 minutes. It took us 11 minutes to bake the cookies. The cookies will be very soft when done. Set a side for 15 minutes and they will firm up. Do not over bake, if not the cookies will become dry when cooled.

Notes
