Homemade Pomegranate Juice

Equipment

Ingredients

  • 3 cups pomegranate seeds
  • 1 cup water ( or seltzer water)
  • 1-2 pinches black salt (kala namak) or regular salt

Instructions

  • Add 3 cups of pomegranate ( about 2 large pomegranates) to a blender. Pulse it few times to break them apart and release the juice. Do not make puree, we just need to pulse until the outer layer of the seeds are broken.
  • Use a metal strainer to strain the seeds out. You can also use a muslin cloth to strain the juice.
  • While you can enjoy the pomegranate juice as is, I feel it is slightly thick to my liking. So we add a cup of water ( or seltzer water) and a pinch of black salt (kala namak) and enjoy this refreshing sweet and tart juice.

Notes

If black salt is not available, you can use regular salt.
