Breakfast Egg Sandwich Recipe

A delicious egg sandwich to kick start your day. So simple and quick to make, this egg sandwich will become your go to breakfast recipe.

  • A Non stick Pan

Ingredients

  • 2 Large Eggs
  • 2-3 tbsp chopped onion
  • 1 tbsp chopped cilantro
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp chili sauce or to taste ( sambal oelek)
  • 2.5 tbsp grated cheese
  • 2 tsp oil
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste
  • 4 pieces sour dough bread or any crusty bread

Instructions

  • Heat a non stick skillet and coat little oil in the center of the pan. Once the pan gets hot, break an egg and pour it in the center. Using a fork gently break the yolk, making sure it doesn't spread too much. Sprinkle some salt, crushed black pepper and chili sauce.
  • Add some chopped onion, cilantro pinch of salt and cook in medium flame for 2 minutes.
  • Slowly flip the egg and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  • Flip it back, add some grated cheese and close the lid for 30 seconds till the cheese melts.
  •  In a small bowl add mayonnaise and the chili sauce and mix it well
  • Toast the bread and spread some of the mayo-chili sauce on each bread slice. Place the cooked eggs and chopped cilantro between the toasted bread and enjoy the sandwich with some coffee or juice.

Notes

Mayonnaise can be replace with cream cheese.
Any kind of chili sauce can be used.
If you don't like it spicy, skip the chili sauce.
Once you spread the mayonnaise on the toasted bread, eat the sandwich immediately to maintain the crunch.
