Almond Flour Ladoo is a easy and delicious ladoo made with almonds, jaggery and cardamom.

Refined sugar free, this laddu will be one of the easy Indian sweets you will ever make.

almond ladoo made with almond flour arranged in a double white place and garnished with cardamom.

Almond Flour is easily available in U.S and I generally keep a pack of Almond Flour in my pantry. I use it in curries, smoothies, Indian sweets and add in the chapathi dough. It is also a great way of sneaking in some nuts in your diet.

Almonds are called Badam in India and are used to make many sweets like halwa, burfi, Katli and ladoo. The recipe I am sharing today is almond ladoo made with store bought almond flour.

You will love this badam laddu recipe

  • because it takes less than 10 minutes to make from start to finish
  • refined sugar free
  • make it vegan by skipping ghee
  • a healthy post work out snack, kids snack or dessert

Ingredients:

almond flour ingredients listed

Ingredient note:

almond flour – store bought or homemade almond flour can be used. For homemade almond flour, blend whole raw almonds until fine. Do not over process if not the almonds will release oil.

jaggery -powdered jaggery or block jaggery can be used. If using block jaggery grate or break the jaggery to form powder.

Step by Step photo instructions:

1- Heat a pan on low flame and add the almond flour. Pan fry the flour for three minutes stirring often. ( we are just looking for the flour to get warm, do not not brown)

Can I skip ghee?

Yes, ghee can be skipped. Just pulse the mixture few more times till the almond release more oil. This will help in binding the ladoo.

What can I replace Jaggery with?

Powdered sugar or coconut sugar can be replaced with jaggery.

How can I make almond flour at home?

Add whole almond in to a blender and pulse it till it becomes powder. Donot grind at one stretch, almonds will start releasing oil and it can turn into almond butter.

Where can I buy almond flour?

I bought mine in Costco (in U.S.) It is also available online and baking Isle of some of the grocery stores.

  • ⅔ cups powdered jaggery or to taste
  • 2 tsp ghee
  • 3 cardamom

Instructions

Notes

If you want to make it vegan– skip the ghee and pulse the mixture few more times, till the almond releases oil.
Powdered jaggery can also be replaced with coconut sugar, palm sugar or powdered sugar. But jaggery gives the best tasting laddu.
Store the ladoo in air tight container. Stays fresh for 10 days.

I have not tried with dates, but you can certainly use dates. Use soft dates ( if the dates are not soft soak them in hot for 5-10 minutes and drain the water). Pulse the dates and almond flour in the blender till it forms like a dough. Since the dates are more moist, don’t blend too much if not the mixture will become paste.
