Chili Cheese DOSA

chili cheese dosa

Chili cheese dosa – one of the popular street foods in Indian, is this delicious chili cheese dosa. Its a beautiful fusion food where the South Indian dosa is combined with Indo Chinese style chili sauce and cheese. A good way of using up the dosa batter. This  recipe is also for someone who wants a variation from the regular dosa.

There are three ingredients into making this dosa. Firstly the dosa batter itself. The recipe for the dosa batter should be of masala dosa batter or plain dosa batter. Sponge dosa batter of poha dosa will not be the best choices. The recipe may still work, but you may not get a thin dosa.

The second and the important ingredient is the chili sauce. Home made or store bought chili sauce will work. I used a chili garlic sauce. Schezwan sauce is also a great choice to use in this dosa recipe. The third and the star ingredient  which brings together the dosa and the spicy sauce is the cheese. Mozarella  cheese or any cheese available to you should work in this recipe.

The addition of chopped onion and coriander adds a bit of crunch and freshness to the chili cheese dosa.Try this chili cheese dosa as a evening snack for your kids and family and see them enjoy it to the core.

Veg Pizza Dosa

street style veg pizza dosa

Veggie pizza dosa recipe – this recipe is for all the pizza lovers, but made it desi style. Its a beautiful fusion recipe where South Indian dosa batter is topped with pasta/pizza sauce, veggies, herbs, chili flakes and cheese.  The combination of crispy crust, crunchy vegetables, a dash of spice and melted cheese is just going to tickle your taste buds asking for more.

It’s also a good way to use up dosa batter and a different  recipe for kids and adults who want a variation from the traditional dosa recipes.

The combination of veggies i used were onion, green bell pepper (capsicum) and corn.  You can also use jalapaenos in the recipes for spiciness. I used frozen thawed corn. If using fresh corn, boil it before using it in the recipe.
