Blender Vegetable Juice

Healthy and colorful Vegetable Juice loaded with nutrients and keeps you hydrated and energized. 

This vegetable juice is made in a blender (Vitamix), and no juicer is needed. The vegetables used to make this juice are carrot, cucumber, tomato and beetroot.

Is drinking vegetable juice better than eating whole fruit?

Its known that eating whole fruit is better than drinking juice. Having said that, drinking homemade vegetable juice is definitely better than store bought juice or not eating fruit at all.

It also gives a boost of energy and a happy tummy.

Removes toxins from you body and aids digestion.

What are the ingredients used in this vegetable juice?

The 4 simple vegetables which go into making this juice are – carrot, cucumber, tomato and beetroot.

Step by Step Instructions:

1- Wash the veggies and peel the carrot and beet root. To a blender first add the tomato, followed by cucumber, carrot and beet root. The vegetable with most liquid is added first, as it will help with pureeing the veggies.

2- Blend until completely smooth. I did not use any water, as I Used Vitamix blender. If you cannot make a smooth puree, add some water while grinding.

3 – Place a large cheese cloth over your bowl and slowly pour the juice on to the cheese cloth.

4- Gather the sides of the cheese cloth and start squeezing out the juice as much as possible.

5 – Once the juice is extracted you will be left with pulp.

6- If you prefer you can add some honey or lemon juice to taste.

7- For best results enjoy this vegetable juice immediately or store in the refrigerator for 24 – 48 hours.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Can I add greens?

Kale, spinach, parsley or cilantro can be used.

Is the juice sweet?

It is mildly sweet because of the carrots. If you like it more sweeter add some honey.

Can I make the juice in big batch and store in the refrigerator?

It is best to consume the juice immediately after it is made. But if it not possible to consume all, it can be stored in the refrigerator for 24- 48 hours

Equipment
