Pistachio Coconut Ladoo are chewy, tasty and easy to make. A perfect make ahead dessert for Diwali or any celebration.
This ladoo recipe is very similar to my Coconut Ladoo with Condensed Milk, but with the addition of pistachio.

Ingredients needed for Coconut Pista Ladoo
Coconut – unsweetened desiccated dry coconut, available in most grocery stores.
Pistachio – used fresh pistachio and powdered them.
Sweetened condensed milk – thick sweetened milk, is available in the bakery isle in the grocery shop.
Butter – use unsalted butter
Step by Step Method –
1 & 2 – Add ¾ th cup of pistachio in a small blender and make a fine powder. In that reserve ¼ th cup of pistachio powder, we will be using that to coat the ladoo at the end.
3 – To a wide skillet add the butter and melt it. You can also replace butter with ghee. Now add the condensed milk and mix both the ingredients.
4 – Now add the desiccated coconut and ½ cup pistachio powder.
5 – Mix it well, scrape the sides and cook the mixture till it thickens and comes together.
6 – Add the cardamom and mix it well. Take a small portion of the mixture, if you can make a ladoo with out it sticking its ready.
7 & 8 – Make round ladoo and coat it with powdered pistachio.

Ingredients
- 2 ¼ cup unsweetened desiccated coconut
- ¾ cup pistachio ( divided) ( ½ cup for ladoo + ¼ cup for rolling)
- 14 oz sweetened condensed milk
- 3 tablespoons butter or substitute with ghee
- 3 cardamom pods, finely crushed

I was wondering how long on the stove top that should take? Mine isn’t coming together.

It should be less than 20-30 minutes. Just make sure to cook it in a wide non stick skillet in medium to high temperature. Keep stirring to avoid burnt bottom.
