School lunch ideas for Indian Teens
1 – Potato Sandwich
While packing for school, add the sauces between the salad and falafel, so it doesn’t touch the pita bread and make it soggy. You can also send the sauces in a small container.
3- Fried Rice with Sauteed Broccoli
4- Bow Tie Pasta with Sundried Tomato Pesto
Heat olive oil in a skillet and add garlic and red chili flakes. Add broccoli and pinch of salt and cook for 5 mins. Add some spinach and sauté for a minute. Add cooked bowtie pasta, sun dried tomato pesto, pinto beans and lemon juice. Gently mix everything, taste and adjust the pesto and salt.
5 – Frozen Black Bean Burger
Saute onion and red bell pepper with a pinch of salt ( keep them slightly crunchy). Once it cools add some Maggi sweet and spicy sauce to it. Heat a frozen black bean burger and toast the bun. To the bottom of the bun add some lettuce or spinach, top it with the burger, mayo and onion and bell pepper. Top it with more lettuce and put the bun. Lettuce adds like a bed and doesn’t make the bread soggy. It is also important to add mayo on the burger but not on the bread.
One of the easy lunch box recipes- you can use any combination or any spices of your liking. Store bought tortillas help in fixing a quick lunch.
8 – Vegetable Pulao
While I mostly pack left over pulao from previous nights, sometimes I also quickly saute some veggies and add some red chili powder and garam masala and mix it with the rice.
9 – Stuffed Ravioli
These are store bought ravioli which I cooked according to package instructions. Sauteed some carrot and broccoli with chili flakes and tossed the cooked ravioli in it. Served some marinara on the side.
10 – Pad Thai
14 – Wraps
14 – Dumplings with Dipping Sauce
