Collection of Office Lunch Ideas
1: Idli made with Idli Rava, Peanut Chutney and Black Chana Salad
Black Chana Salad – boiled black chana, onion, bell pepper, tomato, coriander leaves, finely chopped pickled jalapeno, lemon juice and salt.
Making idli batter over the weekend really helps.
2: Potato Sandwich, Blueberry, Grapes & Granola Bar
3: Brown Rice Lemon Rice with green peas and Peach
4 : Green Moong Dal Waffles, Peanut Tomato Chutney & Sauteed Broccoli
Sautéed Broccoli – Sautee the broccoli in little oil till soft add salt, soy sauce, sambal olek, rice vinegar and inch of brown sugar.
5 : Vegetable Pulao & Roasted Corn
Roasted Corn – roast the corn on the stove top and add some butter, red chili powder, salt and lemon juice.
6: Black Bean Burger with sauteed onion & bell pepper
I used a frozen Black Bean Burger ( Morning Star), you can microwave the burger for 1min 45 sec or heat it up on a pan in low flame. Saute some onion and bell pepper with apinch of salt. Toast the bun, place some lettuce or baby spinach, place the burger, add mayonnaise and maggi sweet and chili sauce, sauteed onion, bell pepper, pickled jalapeno (optional) and top with more lettuce and cover with the bun.
Don’t skip the lettuce, it helps the bun in not getting soggy.
7: Pad Thai with veggies
8: Vermicelli Upma, Grapes & Ferro Rocher
9: Dhokla with chutney’s and salad with store bought hummus.
I used a store bought dholka mix and followed the package instructions and steamed the dhokla for 15 minutes and did a tempering with mustard seeds and cumin and garnished with fresh coconut and coriander leaves.
10: Indian Fried Rice with Sauteed Sweet and Spicy Tofu

12: Bread Pizza, Watermelon and Pepper Cashew
To make the bread pizza add some marinara sauce to the bread, add onion, bell pepper and pickled or fresh jalapeno. Top it with grated cheese and toast till the cheese melts. Finally add some Italian seasoning and chili flakes.

15: Chapathi with Curry
My most favorite lunch box recipe is Chapathi with curry, sabzi (palya) or dal. The best part is, left over curries make for a wonderful lunch box dishes. You can serve them with homemade or store bought chapathi. While I prefer making chapathi at home, I always keep a pack of store bought chapathi which can be used on busy days.
